Kerry Shawn Keys is an American poet, playwright, children’s book author, translator, and wonderscript writer residing in Vilnius. He also holds Lithuanian citizenship. He has published over 40 books. Keys has received awards from the Poetry Society of America; the National Endowment for the Arts; a translation Laureate from the Lithuanian Writers Union; and Fulbright stipends in Brazil for African-Brazilian studies, and at Vilnius University to teach translation theory. He is a member of PEN; the Lithuanian Writers Union; and is World Ambassador of Poetry of the Republic of Užupis. A few of his recent books are: Broken Circle, Virtual Artists Collective; and The Burning Mirror; Book of Beasts; and in 2010, Transporting, all with Presa :S: Press.
