李森,1966 年生于中国云南省腾冲县,1988 年毕业于云南大学并留校任教。现任云南大学艺术与设计学院院长,教授。在《花城》、《作家》、《读书》、《人民文学》等刊物上发表诗歌、散文、学术论文 300 余篇。在中外出版《画布上的影子》(东方出版社 2000 年版)、《我心中的画师》(广西师大出版社 2002 年版)、《动物世说》(花城出版社 2002 年版)、《鸟天下》(中国工人出版社 2004 年版)、《荒诞而迷人的游戏》(学林出版社 2004 年版)、《苍山夜话》(学林出版社 2006 年版)、《中国风车》(美国芝加哥虚拟艺术家合作社 2007 年出版)、《教育的危机》(花城出版社 2008 年版)等 8 部著作,主编《新诗品——昆明芝加哥小组》(与史蒂文·施罗德等合作,云南大学出版社 2008 年版)等刊物和著作 10 余部。是中国著名的“他们”诗派成员之一。

Li Sen was born in 1966 in Tengchong County, Yunnan Province, People’s Republic of China. He has been working at Yunnan University since he graduated in 1988. Currently, he is professor and Dean of the School of Art and Design. He has published more than 300 poems, essays, and academic papers in a number of domestic and international magazines and journals, including Hua Cheng (Flower City), Writers, Reading, and People’s Literature. He has published eight books, including Shadows on the Canvas (Dongfang Publishing House, 2000), Accounts of Animals (Huacheng Publishing House, 2002), Painters in My Heart (Guangxi Normal University Press, 2002), Birds’ World (China Workers’ Publishing House, 2004), Absurd but Attractive Games (Xuelin Publishing House, 2004), Cangshan Night Talk (Xuelin Publishing House, 2006), Chinese Windmill (Virtual Artists Collective, Chicago, USA, 2007), and Educational Crisis (Huacheng Publishing House, 2008). He has edited over ten books, including New Poetry Appreciation—Kunming-Chicago Group (in collaboration with Steven Schroeder, Yunnan University Press, 2008). He is one of the poets known as “They,” an influential poetry group of China.
