Elizabeth Raby has been a poet in the schools for the Pennsylvania Council of the Arts, the New Jersey Council of the Arts, and the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation. She taught poetry writing at Muhlenberg College. She earned a B.A. in History from Vassar College, an M.A. in English (Creative Writing) from Temple University, and is a fellow of the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. In the summers of 2006 and 2007, Ms. Raby represented the Teachers for Tomorrow program as an English Teacher in Deva, Romania. Elizabeth, Patricia Goodrich, and Casandra Ioan collaborated on a bi-lingual poetry collection, Bone, Flesh & Fur or Oase, Carne & Blana. The poems were translated by Ms. Ioan and published by Petoskey Stone Press. Ms. Raby’s other publications include The Hard Scent of Peonies, Jasper Press, Camphorwood, Nightshade Press, and Ten Degrees Above Zero, Jasper Press. She lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
