James Bogan is a writer, film-maker, and distinguished professor at Missouri University Science and Technology. His film trilogy about Brazil, Brazilogy, has won awards in that country. His essays, poems, and screenplays have appeared widely in magazines, and he has published three collections of poetry plus a classic study of William Blake, Sparks of Fire: Blake in a New Age. Timberline Press published his and Walkyria Magno e Silva’s bilingual (English and Portuguese) chapbook of poems, Trance Arrows, and his collection of essays, poetry and shaped verse, Ozark Meandering.
