We are all immigrants on this earth...from the Great Rivers of the Russian Federation to Voices Underground in Lithuania, from Romania’s Line of the Orient Express to Verda’s House in Slovenia. The poems in this collection are a journey of imagination that crosses boundaries -- and they invite readers to do the same. We are both harvesters and harvest, and that is a source of nourishment in these poems, which invite us to "Plant fields / Not mines / Dig deep," to "Make noodles ... roll and boil / ... the stuff of soup."
